Kingston played in all 40 games this past season and was named CHA (College Hockey America) Offensive Player of the Week after scoring both game-winning goals in a sweep of Findlay on Jan. 24-25. He equaled a career-high with four points (2-2) on Nov. 22 vs. Alabama-Huntsville and had three assists Nov. 29 at Michigan Tech. Kingston was an honorable mention National Player of the Month for January. In the CHA playoffs, he scored three goals including two game-winners in earning a spot on the all-tournament team. He was selected as WSU's Most Valuable Player. Kingston was also selected the team's President's Award winner for academic success and was named to the CHA All-Academic team for the third straight season. He also received the Dean's Award winner (highest cumulative gpa among student-athletes enrolled in that college) from the College of Liberal Arts.
The District IV Verizon Academic team was selected by members of CoSIDA (College Sports Information Directors of America) located in Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee and Alabama.
The At-Large team represents athletes from the following men's sports: crew, gymnastics, skiing, fencing, ice hockey, swimming, water polo, field hockey, lacrosse, tennis, golf and rifle.
