Dustin Kingston was named to the Academic All-America Second Team.

Wayne State University senior hockey player Dustin Kingston (Spencerville, Ont.) was named to the 2002-03 Verizon Academic All-America Men's At-Large University Division Second Team.

Kingston, who had a 3.89 cumulative grade-point average at WSU, led the Warriors in scoring this past season with 41 points in 40 games. An honorable mention National Player of the Month for January, he scored three goals including two game-winners in the CHA playoffs to earn all-tournament honors.

He was selected as the team's Most Valuable Player, while also being named the team's President's Award winner for academic success. Kingston was named to the CHA All-Academic team for the third straight season. He also received the WSU Athletic Department's Dean's Award for having the highest cumulative gpa among student-athletes enrolled in that college (from the College of Liberal Arts).
