INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The WSU men's swimming team moved up one position after Friday's final swims and is now in seventh place (152 points) at the NCAA Division II Championships in Indianapolis.

Jared Troyer (4:36.44) and Guilherme Veiga (4:37.56) finished eighth and 12th, respectively, in the 500 free. Troyer made the All-America First Team with his time, while Veiga earned an Honorable Mention award.

Mathias Isaksson also earned an All-America Honorable Mention, placing 12th in the 100 breast with a time of 58.14.

In the 200 fly final, Bruno Blanco swam to a 15th place finish with a time of 1:53.82, garnering an Honorable Mention.

The 800 free relay quartet of Troyer, Veiga, A.J. Erard, and Blanco posted a time of 7:03.38 to finish 14th.

Erika Barczak, the lone representative of the WSU women's squad, placed 13th in the one-meter diving competition with a score of 291.35.

The championships will conclude on Saturday, March 11, with preliminaries starting at 10:00 a.m.
