YPSILANTI, Mich. - The Wayne State men's swimming team was defeated, 132-95, at Eastern Michigan on Saturday.
The WSU "B" team got things started for the Warriors, taking second in the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:38.02.
Guilherme Veiga finished second in the 1000 free (9:35.40), while Jared Troyer took third (10:03.51). Veiga also won the 500 free (4:40.99).
Bruno Blanco finished second in the 200 free (1:47.70), and won the 200 fly (1:55.48) later in the meet.
Per Bergstrom finished second in the 100 free (48.94), and Greg Scully took second in the 200 back (2:00.87).
Dan Fleming won the one-meter diving event, finishing with a score of 173.95.
Wayne State took the top three spots in the 200 breast, with Mathias Isaksson (2:14.73) winning the event, followed by Tim Giblin (2:28.45) and David Fontecchio (2:28.56).
The Warriors also took the top two spots in the 800 free relay, as the "A" team finished in 7:21.99, while the "B" team posted a time of 7:45.28.
Wayne State will host Indianapolis next Saturday, Nov. 12.
