Marquette, Mich. - The Wayne State University men's swimming and diving team continued its outstanding performance at the GLIAC Championship Friday morning.
WSU has 11 swimmers competing in "A" finals on Friday evening and another six in the "B" finals.
The Warriors had three "A" finals qualifiers in the 400 IM - A.J. Erard (4:03.21/NCAA A qualifying time), Jared Troyer (4:03.52/NCAA A qualifying time) and Jeff Marshall (4:23.45) - plus three "B" finals qualifiers in Argent Palumbo (4:31.29), David Fontecchio (4:41.56) and Greg Scully (4:49.74).
Bruno Blanco (51.38) was an "A" qualifier in the 100 fly.
WSU had three "A" finals qualifiers in the 200 free in Matt Leix (1:44.49), Sebastian Rzepa (1:45.24) and Nick Markou (1:45.55), plus Brett Salogar was a "B" finals qualifier with a time of 1:49.46.
Both Mathias Isaksson (59.38) and Per Bergstrom (59.97) were "A" finals qualifiers in the 100 breast with Tim Giblin (1:03.26) making the "B" finals.
WSU has two "A" finals qualifiers for the 100 back - Luiz Pacheco (53.46) and Leix (53.78) - while Scully (57.94) was a "B" finals qualifier.
