Fernando Costa (Porto, Portugal/Escola Secundaria/Indian River C.C.), who will be a senior this fall at Wayne State, swam in the 1500m heat on Friday, August 15 at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing.

Costa's time of 15:26.21 placed him sixth in his heat and 30th of all competitors in the event. Complete 1500m results.

He represented Portugal at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, Greece and finished 21st in the 1500 meter freestyle (15:32.55).
