The Wayne State University men's swimming and diving team is the top-ranked squad in the CSCAA/CollegeSwimming.com Division II Dual Meet Rankings released on Tuesday, while the WSU women's team is ranked second behind Grand Valley State.

Wayne State received 170.3 points in the men's poll, six points more than the second-ranked Lakers. In the women's poll, GVSU came away with a slim one-point lead over the Warriors (165.5). These two programs will meet head-to-head on Jan. 9 in Allendale.

The Warrior men have a dual meet record of 6-2 on the season with their only two setbacks coming from Division I opponents. They swept Indianapolis, Ashland, and Truman State on Halloween weekend in Indy, and defeated both Calvin and Denison at home on Nov. 15.

The CollegeSwimming.com rankings are based on each team's best dual meet lineup as judged and submitted by participating teams. Rankings are announced four times throughout the season - November (Pre-Invite), December (Post-Invite), February (Pre-Conference), and March (Post-Conference.
