Chicago, Ill. - The Wayne State men's tennis team (0-1) began its season with a 7-0 loss at Division I University of Illinois-Chicago.

The Flames won all six singles matches. Freshman Antoine Marenaud was the only Warrior to take his match into three sets.

UIC won two of three doubles matches with the only WSU victory coming from Donavon Mitchell and Marenaud (8-6).

The Warriors will travel to Kalamazoo to play the host Hornets on Saturday, Feb. 17.
