Glendale, Ariz. - The Wayne State University men's tennis team (18-0) won its only match on Tuesday defeating Carthage College 5-4 at the Paseo Racquet Center in Glendale, Arizona.

The Warriors trailed 2-1 after doubles competition but won four of the six singles flights for the victory.

WSU has one match scheduled for Wednesday. The Warriors face Northern Colorado at 11 a.m.

Coach Rick Cummins Comments: "Carthage is a tough team. They beat Kalamazoo a couple of weeks ago. Our guys played 2 matches in the heat yesterday and found some energy for today. We are out here to improve our tennis. Physically this is a tough week. We are working hard."
