Sedona, Arizona - The Wayne State University men's tennis team's (20-1) school-record 20 match winning streak to begin the season came to an end Thursday afternoon when the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks (7-7), an NCAA Division I team, defeated WSU, 5-2, at the Sedona Racquet Club in Sedona, Arizona.

The match used Division I scoring where the three doubles count for a single point.

Coach Rick Cummins comments: "It is good to get out butts kicked. So far we have pulled out all of the close matches. We needed a loss."

WSU has a scrimmage on Saturday against Mesa Community College, before returning to Michigan. The Warriors open the GLIAC portion of their schedule Friday at Ferris State.
