Detroit, Mich. - The Wayne State men's tennis team (5-7 overall, 0-3 GLIAC) fell to visiting Grand Valley State (10-4, 1-1 GLIAC), 7-2, Sunday afternoon at the WSU Tennis Courts.

Alejandro Gomez (Comitan Chiapas, Mexico) was the lone singles victor for WSU as he defeated Patrick Troy at #3 singles, 6-2, 7-5.

The #2 doubles team of Arthur Carillho (Joao Pessoa, Brazil) and Gomez defeated Troy and Justin Sauerbrey, 8-6.

The Warriors will play two league contests this week: Findlay on Tuesday (2 p.m.) and Michigan Tech on Saturday (10 a.m.).
