BIG RAPIDS, Mich. - The Wayne State men's tennis team dropped its second straight GLIAC match on Sunday as the Warriors were defeated, 6-3, at Ferris State.
Arthur Carrilho (Joao Pessoa, Brazil) and Matt Fisher (Shelby Twp., Mich.) earned the lone doubles win for Wayne State, an 8-6 victory over Kyle Halberg and Kevin Brundle. Carrilho and Fisher improve their record to 4-3 at No. 2 doubles this season.
Adam Williams (Northville, Mich.) defeated Kevin Brundle in straight sets at No. 5 singles, and Ryan Buck (Shelby Twp., Mich.) won a three-set battle (6-7, 6-4, 10-5) over FSU's Andrew Gunberg in the sixth spot. Both Warriors have won their last five singles matches.
Wayne State continues GLIAC play at Grand Valley State on Monday.
