Men's Tennis Improves To 23-3 With 9-0 Win Over Lake Superior

Clinton Twp., Mich. - The Wayne State University men's tennis team defeated league rival Lake Superior State, 9-0, Sunday afternoon at the Peachtree Tennis Club in Clinton Twp., Mich. The 30th-ranked Warriors are now 23-3 overall and 3-2 in the GLIAC.

WSU has two matches remaining on its regular-season schedule. Wayne State hosts Findlay at 1 p.m. on Friday and Mercyhurst at 1 p.m. on Saturday. Both matches will be played at Peachtree.

Head coach Rick Cummins comments: Sebastien Foka and Goran Marijan at first doubles and Miguel Cobbs at second singles pulled out some solid wins. Lake Superior came out fired up and they are a well-coached team who plays with a lot of emotion and heart. They fight until the very end.
