Clinton Twp., Mich. - The Wayne State University men's tennis team defeated Grand Valley State, 5-4, on April 2, at the Peachtree Tennis Center.

The win improves WSU's overall record to 9-7 and its conference record to 2-1.

Grand Valley led 2-1 after doubles as Miguel Cobbs and Sebastion Foka teamed up for an 8-3 win.

The Warriors took four of the six singles matches to capture the one-point win for the day.

Foka won in straight sets at No. 2, as did Philip Tharakan at No. 4 and Adam Williams at No. 5 (both sets were tiebreakers). Cobbs won in three sets at No. 1.

WSU faces No. 27-ranked Ferris State on Sunday, also at Peachtree.
