DETROIT, Mich. - The WSU men's tennis team earned an 8-1 victory over Michigan Tech on Saturday at the Eastside Racquet Club in Detroit, snapping a four-match losing streak.
The No. 1 doubles duo of Sebastien Foka (Choisy-le-Roi, France) and Donavon Mitchell (Detroit, Mich.) got an 8-3 victory over MTU's Brett Girard and Rick Halverson, and the second doubles team of Matt Fisher (Shelby Twp., Mich.) and Arthur Carrilho (Joao Pessoa, Brazil) were 8-2 winners against Chris Calder and Yassine Borkadi.
Wayne State swept the singles action, ending five of the six matches in straight sets.
The Warriors will face GLIAC foe Lake Superior State on Sunday afternoon.
