MIDLAND, Mich. - For the fifth straight season, the WSU men's tennis team's hopes for a Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Tournament championship was ended by Ferris State. Wayne State (26-4) lost to FSU(14-7), 5-1 in a semifinal match of the 2004 GLIAC Tournament being held at the Midland Tennis Center.
The seconded-seeded Bulldogs advance to the title match against No. 1-seed Northwood and the No. 3-ranked Warriors will play Lake Superior State, the fourth seed, at 9:00 am Saturday in the third-place match. WSU defeated LSSU, 9-0, on April 4 in regular-season action.
