Midland, Mich. - The Wayne State men's tennis team (9-9 overall, 3-4 GLIAC) fell to #19 Northwood, 5-1, in the second round of the GLIAC Tournament Saturday afternoon. The Warriors will play Mercyhurst on Sunday morning for third place.

The lone win came at #2 doubles as the team of Alejandro Gomez (Comitan Chiapas, Mexico) and Arthur Carrilho (Joao Pessoa, Brazil) won 8-5.

The matchup against Mercyhurst will be the second consecutive year in the GLIAC Tournament. Last year, the Warriors defeated the Lakers, 5-1. Mercyhurst beat WSU, 5-4, on last Saturday, April 14.
