Big Rapids, Mich. - The Wayne State University men's tennis team (26-9) lost in the Great Lakes Regional title match at Ferris State (18-7), 5-2, for the second consecutive year. This year's regional was held at the FSU Racquet and Fitness Center in Big Rapids, Mich.
The Bulldogs, who were ranked 26th in the latest (April 25) Omni Hotels/Intercollegiate Tennis Association Division II National poll, won two of three doubles encounters and sealed the match with victories at the numbers two, four and five singles flights.
The Warriors were ranked 33rd nationally and senior Rohan Singh had a hand in both victories. He teamed with classmate Mike Davis for a win at first doubles and won in straight sets at first singles.
