MIDLAND, Mich. - The Wayne State men's tennis squad opened its fall season at the ITA Men's Great Lakes Region Results at the Midland Tennis Center on Friday, Sept. 26. Sophomore Goran Marijan won both of matches (6-1, 6-1 and 6-3, 6-4) in two sets to advance to the round of 16.

Also winning in the first round was Ryan Buck (6-2, 7-6 (5)), but Buck fell in the round of 32 (6-1, 6-1).

Farraz Siddiqi (6-4, 6-1), Phil Tharakan (6-3, 7-5) and Greg Zilo (7-5, 5-7, 1-0 (4)) all lost their first-round matches and will continue play in the consolation bracket on Saturday.
