Men's Tennis Player Earns League Academic Award

 
 

 
Sebastien Foka was named to the GLIAC All-Academic Team.

Sebastien Foka (Choisy-le-Roi, France), a member of the 2004 Wayne State University men's tennis team was named to the GLIAC All-Academic team. Foka, a sophomore, is majoring in anthropology. He was named to the All-GLIAC First Team in 2004 after compiling a 20-8 singles mark including a 14-8 record at first singles. Foka recorded a 26-6 mark in doubles play including an 18-6 mark at No. 1 doubles with Goran Marijan in helping WSU to the second round of the NCAA tournament after placing third in both the GLIAC regular season and conference tournament.

To be eligible for GLIAC All-Academic status a student athlete must have: a cumulative G.P.A. of 3.0 or greater (on a 4.0 scale); must be a starter or key reserve; and must not be a freshman or first-year transfer.
