Three Wayne State University men's tennis players have been named to the GLIAC All-Academic team for the 2005 season.

Juniors Sebastien Foka (Choisy-le-Roi, France) and Adam Williams (Northville, Mich./Saddlebrook [Fla.]) along with sophomore Ryan Buck (Shelby Twp., Mich./Utica) earned a spot on the GLIAC All-Academic squad.

Foka, in addition to majoring in anthropology, had a 19-4 singles record at the No. 1 and No. 2 flights. He had a 19-7 doubles record with two different partners. This marks the second consecutive year that Foka has been named to the GLIAC All-Academic team.

Williams, a liberal arts major, compiled a 13-6 singles record and had a total of 10 doubles victories with three different partners.

Buck, also a liberal arts major, had a 6-7 overall singles record and went 3-2 in post-season action at second doubles with Glauber Santos.

To be eligible for GLIAC All-Academic status a student athlete must have: a cumulative G.P.A. of 3.0 or greater (on a 4.0 scale); must be a starter or key reserve; and must not be a freshman or first-year transfer.

WSU compiled a 14-11 overall record and advanced to the second round of the NCAA tournament for the fourth consecutive year.
