NORTHVILLE, Mich. - The Wayne State men's cross country team was victorious at the Detroit Mercy Titan Invitational on Saturday. The four-mile race was held at Cass-Benton Park in Northville, Michigan.

Wayne State took the top three finishes in the race. Justin Kessler (Ionia, Mich.) won for the second year in a row with a time of 20:07, while Chris Mehay (New Baltimore, Mich./Anchor Bay) finished second at 20:19, and Matt Fecht (Warren, Mich./Mott) placed third at 20:20.
Abdullah Saleh (Dearborn, Mich./Fordson) also placed in the top ten, running in 20:39 for seventh. Kevin Christensen (Battle Creek, Mich./Penfield) took eleventh place with a time of 20:55, and Lance Jones (Saranac, Mich.) rounded out the top 20 at 21:21.
The Warriors will next travel to Kenosha, Wisconsin on Saturday, September 17, for the Midwest Collegiate race at 1:45 p.m.
