Bowling Green, Ohio - Senior Chris Mehay's (New Baltimore, Mich./Anchor Bay) first-career first place finish led Wayne State to a top finish among non-NCAA Division I teams at the Bowling Green Mel Brodt Invitational. It was the third-straight win for the Warriors in as many meets.

Overall, Mehay would have finished in fourth place among both Division I and Division II teams.

Division I Eastern Michigan won the invitational, having six of the top-ten runners.

Bowling Green's Eddie Kipchoge won the invitational with a time of 24:42.
