Louisville, Ky. - The Wayne State University men's cross country team finished 15th out of 38 teams with 389 points at the Greater Louisville Cross Country Classic held at the Tom Sawyer State Park Saturday morning. The University of Louisville took first place honors with 58 points.

Junior Abdullah Saleh (Dearborn, Mich.-Fordson) was the Warriors' top runner but ended his streak of top five finishes coming in 43rd out of 310 runners in the 8k run with a time of 25:00.12.

Wayne State also had three runners place in the top 100 with senior Kevin Christensen (Battle Creek, Mich.-Pennfield) finishing 77th with a time of 25:32.42 followed by sophomore Dan Kapaida (Canton, Mich./Salem) in 85th at 25:40.19. Sophomore Sam Breen (Brownstown, Mich./Woodhaven) also finished 87th (25:41.50).

The team will compete at the Michigan Intercollegiate Friday Oct. 4 at Katke-Cousins Golf Course in Rochester, Mich. The event is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m
