Boston, Mass. - Wayne State cross country head coach Rick Cummins, assistant coach Matt Fecht and senior Lance Jones (Saranac, Mich./Saranac) competed at the 111th Boston Marathon on Monday. Over 23,800 racers competed in rainy conditions in the historic 40k race.

Cummins finished in a time of 3:25:20, good enough for 4,382 place overall, 3,846 with all male runners and 2,223 in his division: Open 18-39.

Matt Fecht

Fecht came in a respectable 142 place overall with a time of 2:41:30. He finished at 129 place with all male runners and 113 in his division: Open 18-39.

Lance Jones

Jones finished the best of the three, completing the race in 2:39:04, good enough for 117 place, 107 place with all male runners and 95 in his division: Open 18-39.
