Wayne State University senior cross country runner Abdullah Saleh (Dearborn, Mich./Fordson) was selected Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) runner of the week for his performance at the Running Fit-Detroit Titan Invitational last Saturday at Cass-Benton Park in Northville.

Saleh crossed the finish line in second place at the 2008 Running Fit-Detroit Invitational. Saleh's time of 20:12 was his best performance in meet history. This was the second consecutive year, Saleh finished second at the meet after back-to-back seventh place finishes his first two years in the Green and Gold. He has had 18 top-10 finishes in his collegiate career.
