Wayne State Cracks Top-10 to #8 in Latest USTFCCCA Poll

Detroit, Mich. - The Wayne State men's cross country team, coming off its third-straight victory to start the 2006 season, moved up four spots to #8 in the third U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) poll.

The Warriors, which were ranked 12th the previous two polls, passed Lock Haven, Saginaw Valley, and Stonehill. Adams State remained the team to beat, as it held the top spot. Chico State and Western State switched spots, as Chico State is now in second place and Western State in third.

The two biggest jumps in the poll this week came with Hillsdale, who was not ranked last week, is now 12th. Southwest Baptist, at #24 last week, is now at #13.

In the Great Lakes Region, Wayne State moved two spots, from #4 to #2, behind #1 Grand Valley.
