Detroit, Mich. - Senior Chris Mehay (New Baltimore, Mich./Anchor Bay) was named the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week.

Mehay's performance last weekend at Bowling Green State's Mel Brodt Invitational consisted of his first-career first place finish, his third top-five finish in as many meets, and his second-straight meet as top Warrior.

As a team, the eighth ranked Warriors have won their first three meets to start the season, a first for the program. The previous record was two to start the 2001 season. The three straight victories at any time of a season ties 2005's season.

The Warriors will compete at Lehigh's Paul Short Invitational on Friday, September 29.
