Senior Justin Kessler (Ionia, Mich.) has been named the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week, the second time this season he has won this award.

Kessler led the Warriors to a 14th place finish out of 44 teams at the Lehigh University Paul Short Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 1. He finished in eighth place out of 299 participants with a time of 24:09, marking a vast improvement over his previous best finish at this race, a 56th-place showing two years ago, when he ran a time of 25:34.67.

Kessler has been the top-finishing Warrior in every race to date this season.

The Warriors will next run in the Michigan Intercollegiate at the Oakland University Golf Course on Friday, Oct. 7.
