Assistant coach LaTisha Martin begins her second year as an assistant coach with the Wayne State basketball program. Martin served as a student assistant during the Warriors' 2002-03 season in which they advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the first time in school history.
She set the school's single-season assist record with 192 her senior year. Throughout her Wayne State career, she averaged 7.4 points, 6.8 assists and 2.7 steals in 50 games started. Martin is currently ranked fourth on the WSU career assists list with 369.
In 2001-02, Martin was named Second Team All-League and earned GLIAC All-Defensive Team honors for the second straight year.
Prior to Wayne State Martin played two seasons at Oakland University, totaling 294 assists in her first two collegiate seasons.
A criminal justice major, Martin was the women's basketball representative on the Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) during her final year of eligibility.
The Detroit Dominican High School alum graduated with her bachelor degree in May 2003.
In addition to her coaching duties, Martin serves on the staff of the xxxx.
