NORTHWOOD GAME STORYLINES

The Wayne State University women's basketball team continues its road swing with a visit to Northwood this Saturday for a 6 p.m. tip.

The Warriors went 1-3 to start their seven-game road trip following exams last month. WSU has played eight of its 13 contests this season outside of Detroit.

Wayne State will play all of its 2007 games versus GLIAC opponents.

ON THE BENCH

Wayne State's Gloria Bradley has a 80-96 mark in her seventh season with the Warrior basketball program. Her overall 14-year coaching mark stands at 193-164, which includes seven seasons at Montclair State (1993-2000).

Jeff Curtis has compiled a 25-40 record in his third year with the Timberwolves. Only two of Northwood's six wins this year have come against NCAA Division II schools. The other four victories were over Concordia (Mich.), Grace Bible College, Marygrove and Rochester (Mich.).

THROUGHOUT THE YEARS

WSU has a 5-1 record versus Northwood under Bradley including a 2-0 mark in games played in Midland.

Wayne State recorded an 80-53 win in Detroit last January as Kristen Rogers scored 24 points and Joy Nash added 10. Rogers made seven of nine from beyond the arc as the Warriors shot over 69 percent from three-point range.

The Warriors lead the all-time 24-14.

SERIES NOTES

Gloria Bradley has a 5-1 all-time mark against Northwood after last year's 80-53 WSU win in Detroit on Jan. 7.

WSU has won the last five series meetings by an average of 15 points.

The first meeting came in 1980 as Wayne State posted a 70-35 home triumph over the Timberwolves.
