ASHLAND/FINDLAY GAME STORYLINES

The Wayne State University women's basketball team concludes its seven-game road trip with contests at Ashland and Findlay this week.

The Warriors have lost three straight and six of seven since posting back-to-back GLIAC wins over Mercyhurst and Hillsdale on Dec. 2-9.

Wayne State is third in the GLIAC South Division, one game ahead of Ashland and 1/2 game behind Hillsdale.

ON THE BENCH

Wayne State's Gloria Bradley has an 80-97 mark in her seventh season with the Warrior basketball program. Her overall 14-year coaching mark stands at 193-165, which includes seven seasons at Montclair State (1993-2000).

Sue Ramsey has compiled a 179-144 record in her 12th year at Ashland.

Findlay's first-year head coach Kate Cummings has a 4-12 mark.

THROUGHOUT THE YEARS

Ashland has won the last six meetings since a 75-64 WSU win in Detroit on Jan. 29, 2004, including last year's 88-79 victory in the GLIAC tournament.

Wayne State split its season series a year ago with Findlay as each squad won at home. WSU recorded an 81-77 overtime triumph on Jan. 14, 2006, while the Oilers prevailed in Ohio, 70-58, on Feb. 2, 2006.

SERIES NOTES

Gloria Bradley has a 4-9 all-time mark against Ashland after last year's 88-79 Eagle win at home in the GLIAC tournament.

AU has won the last six series meetings.

The first meeting came in 1983 as Wayne State posted an 87-59 home triumph over the Eagles.

Gloria Bradley has an 8-4 all-time mark versus Findlay including a 3-3 record in games played at UF.

WSU had won three straight at Findlay until falling the last two years.

The teams have split the season series in four of the last six seasons with WSU recording two season sweeps (2003-04 and 2002-03).

The Warriors were selected fifth in the GLIAC South Division in the preseason coaches' poll, while Ashland was picked first and Findlay fourth in the GLIAC South Division.
