GRAND VALLEY/LAKE SUPERIOR GAME STORYLINES

The Wayne State University women's basketball team will take its four-game winning streak on the road this week with contests at defending national champion Grand Valley (Thursday) and Lake Superior (Saturday).

Thursday's game will be televised live by Comcast Local.

Wayne State is third in the GLIAC South Division 1/2 game behind Hillsdale and three games ahead of Ashland.

ON THE BENCH

Wayne State's Gloria Bradley has an 84-97 mark in her seventh season with the Warrior basketball program. Her overall 14-year coaching mark stands at 197-165, which includes seven seasons at Montclair State (1993-2000).

Dawn Plitzuweit has a 110-35 record in her fifth year at GVSU. LSSU's Jamie Pewinski has compiled a 12-5 mark in her first year in the Soo.

THROUGHOUT THE YEARS

Grand Valley has won the last four meetings since WSU's 69-53 win in Detroit on Jan. 3, 2002. The Warriors' last win in Allendale came on Jan. 11, 2001, by an 82-81 score.

Lake Superior has won the last 10 meetings since an 85-66 WSU home triumph on Nov. 22, 1997. Wayne State's last victory in Sault Ste. Marie was Feb. 9, 1994.

SERIES NOTES

Gloria Bradley has a 2-4 all-time mark against Grand Valley.

GVSU has won the last four series meetings and leads the all-time series 32-22 (GVSU includes 1973-74 win that WSU does not).

Wayne State is 1-2 in Allendale under Bradley with the victory coming on Jan. 11, 2001, by an 82-81 score as Nikki Jackson hit the game-winning shot with 5.1 seconds left.
