CLINTON TWP., Mich. - Former Wayne State University women's basketball guard Ebony Vincent (Oak Park, Mich./Royal Oak Shrine) was honored at the 2004 Catholic Coaches Association and Catholic League Hall of Fame banquet Monday (June 14) at the Fern Hill Golf and Country Club in Clinton Township. Vincent was among eight college athletes of the year selected.

A four-year letterwinner for the Warriors, Vincent was named to the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) South Division All-Conference First Team in 2003-04 and the All-Defensive Squad her final two years. Vincent finished her Wayne State career with 993 points and a school-record 513 assists. She led the GLIAC in assists the past two years and was second in the nation as a junior with 222 assists.

Vincent becomes the third WSU athlete honored by the League. There are currently 700 individuals enshrined in the hall of fame, which is housed in the Walnut Room of the CHSL offices in downtown Detroit.
