Wayne State University head women's basketball coach Gloria Bradley has announced the signing of Paige Sickmiller (Washington, Mich./Romeo) to a National Letter of Intent. This signing brings the Warrior recruiting class for 2009-10 to five as four previous signees were announced on Nov. 13.
Sickmiller will graduate from Romeo High School this spring after earning three varsity letters for the Bulldogs and coach Connie Hernden. She averaged 11 points per game as a junior to earn honorable mention Detroit Free Press Metro East honors as well as all-league and all-county accolades. Sickmiller recorded the squad's best free throw percentage in 2008 and will serve as a basketball team captain this season. During the summer she played for the Michigan Cagers 18-and-under AAU team and earned 2009 MGBR All-Showcase Team honors.
The daughter of Cynthia Morefield and Edward Sickmiller, she plans to major in communications.
