Richmond, Va. - Wayne State University fencer Anna Garina (Kiev, Ukraine) won first place in the women's epée at the 2004 North American Cup held this past weekend in Richmond, Va.
Also competing for WSU was senior fencer Anna Vinnikov (Ma'alot, Israel), who tied-for-68th.
The WSU fencing teams begin dual meet competition on January 22-23 at the Northwestern University Duals in Evanston, Ill.
