The Wayne State University women's fencing program is ranked 16th nationally in the latest USFCA College Fencing Coaches' Poll which can be found at NCAASports.com.

Penn State is the top team on the women's side and is followed by Columbia, Harvard, Notre Dame, Northwestern, Ohio State, St. John's, Penn, Temple and Stanford to round out the top 10. Just ahead of WSU are Princeton, Yale, Duke, UC-San Diego and North Carolina. The Warriors are in front of Cornell, Air Force, Rutgers and Brandeis.

The 2007 NCAA Championship will take place March 22-25 in Madison, N.J. at the William E. and Carol G. Simon Forum and Athletic Center on the campus of Drew University.

Prior to that the Warriors will compete in the Midwest Fencing Conference Championship (March 3-4 at Notre Dame) and the NCAA Midwest Regional (March 10 at Notre Dame). WSU concludes the regular season at the Northwestern Duals on Feb. 24.
