DETROIT - Wayne State University forward Micheline Frappier (Val Caron, Ont./Sudbury Lady Wolves) was selected College Hockey America (CHA) Rookie of the Week, as announced by the league office Monday afternoon.

Frappier posted three key power-play points as Wayne State went 1-0-1 last weekend at the Easton Showcase. She assisted on the game-winning goal in Friday's 3-2 victory over host St. Cloud State, and scored two goals in the second period Saturday against North Dakota, one of which was the game-tying tally in a 3-3 overtime deadlock.

Her goals Saturday were her second and third of the season as she notched her first collegiate multiple-point game.

With only CHA games remaining, Wayne State is off this weekend before hosting Robert Morris for a series Jan. 16-17 at the City Sports Center in Detroit.
