Detroit, Mich. - Sophomore forward Melissa Boal (Pakenham, Ontario/Ottawa Raiders) was named College Hockey America's Offensive Player of the Week, released earlier today. It is her third award this season and first since Oct. 30.

Boal recorded two goals and one assist in a 1-0-1 weekend at Quinnipiac. Her two goals on Friday tied the game twice (3-3, 4-4) and included scoring her first career game-tying marker, which came with 1:28 left in regulation. She finished the two games with seven shots on goal and a +5 plus/minus rating.

She leads the team in goals (18), points (29), power-play goals (9) and short-handed goals (1). She has recorded a point in 18 of the team's 24 games this season, including posting her second-career hat trick in a 4-3 loss at Connecticut on Oct. 27.

The Warriors have nothing but conference games remaining as they will travel to Robert Morris on Friday and Saturday. The puck is set to drop at 7:35 p.m. both nights. Wayne State leads the all-time series, 4-0-0.
