DETROIT - The Wayne State University women's hockey team is ranked in the top ten nationally for the first time in the nine-year history of the program. WSU is 10th in the latest U.S. College Hockey Online (USCHO) poll released today. Last weekend, the Warriors won (5-4 OT) and tied (2-2 OT) at previously sixth-ranked Mercyhurst. The victory marked the first time the Warriors have defeated the Lakers snapping a 33-game winless streak.

WSU is also unbeaten in its last 11 games (9-0-2) since a 6-3 loss to #4 Minnesota on Jan. 5.

WSU is at home this weekend for a pair of contests against College Hockey America (CHA) rival Robert Morris. Both games will be played at City Sports Arena with start times of 7 pm (Friday) and 2 pm (Saturday).
