GAME STORYLINES
The Wayne State University women's hockey team (12-13-5, 4-2-2 CHA) faces College Hockey America foe Robert Morris University (5-19-2, 2-5-1 CHA) in a two-game set at City Sports Center Arena this weekend, Feb. 24-25. It marks the final home series of the regular season for the Warriors.
Friday's game is scheduled to start at 7:00 p.m., and Saturday's game on Senior Day will begin at 2:00 p.m.
Wayne State earned a home sweep of Niagara last weekend (4-0 and 2-1) as part of a doubleheader with the WSU men's hockey team at the Michigan State Fairgrounds Coliseum. The Warriors are unbeaten (6-1-1) in seven of their last eight games.
Robert Morris comes to Detroit riding a three-game winning streak, after winning just two of its first 25 games this season. They swept Sacred Heart at home last weekend, 3-1 on Friday and 7-3 on Saturday.
The Warriors will complete the 2005-06 regular season with a series at Niagara next weekend, March 3-4. Wayne State will host the 2006 CHA Tournament, March 9-12, at the Michigan State Fairgrounds Coliseum.
BEHIND THE BENCH
Jim Fetter is in his third season as Wayne State's head coach. He has a career record of 40-45-12 with the Warriors.
Interim head coach Jody Katz is in her first season with the Colonials.
SERIES HISTORY
These two squads played their first-ever series against each other this season, Jan. 27-28, with Wayne State getting the sweep by scores of 4-2 and 4-1 at RMU.
IN THE POLLS
Wayne State and Niagara were ranked in a tie for second in the preseason CHA coaches' poll. Robert Morris was ranked fourth.
ON THIS DATE
The Warriors have played twice on Feb. 24, winning an exhibition game at Michigan, 3-2, in 2000, and dropping a 4-1 decision at Findlay in the 2001 GLWHA Semifinals.
WSU is 0-1-1 all-time on Feb. 25, as it tied at Findlay, 3-3, in 2004, and fell at home to Niagara, 3-1, last season.
SCOUTING ROBERT MORRIS
Since their previous meetings with the Warriors, Jan. 27-28, the Colonials are 4-1-1.
Robert Morris earned its first series sweep in program history last weekend, winning 3-1 and 7-3 decisions over Sacred Heart. Prior to that, the Colonials went 2-1-1 in four games against the Niagara Purple Eagles. RMU currently sits in third place in the CHA standings.
Kathryn Traynor leads the Colonials with 10 goals, while she and Morgan Beikirch share the points lead with 15 apiece. Kristin Miles is the only other RMU player with double figures in points (11).
Brianne McLaughlin has seen the majority of the time between the pipes this season, posting a 3.55 goals-against average and a .901 save percentage in 25 games.

NOTES
Freshman Melissa Boal was named CHA Offensive Player of the Week, coming off her five-point performance in the series against Niagara last weekend. She has recorded a point in each of the last four games and eight of the last nine.
Her three-point game last Friday and two-point game the next night were her ninth and 10th multi-point games of the season, respectively. That leads the team, with classmates Sam Poyton coming in second (9) and Lindsay DiPietro third (8).
Poyton is riding an eight-game goal-scoring streak, a school record. She leads the CHA with 23 goals.
DiPietro has 10 points (2-8) over the last six games.
Prior to this season, no three Warriors had reached the 20-point mark in the same season. In 2005-06, the three freshmen have each reached the 30-point mark.
Junior Laura Monk has at least one point in each of the Warriors' six series of the calendar year 2006.
Defenseman Sarah Campbell leads the senior class with nine assists and 10 points this season.
Goaltender Tiffany Thompson leads the CHA with a .926 save percentage and ranks second with a 2.25 goals-against average.
The six goals scored by WSU last weekend ties its highest total for a series against Niagara. The Warriors totalled six goals (3-2, 3-1) in a series sweep of the Purple Eagles on Feb. 11-12, 2005.
Since being shut out, 3-0, by Wisconsin on Jan. 7, Wayne State has outscored its opponents, 28-19.
The Warriors have a power-play goal in each of their last seven games. Their 25 power-play goals this season leads the CHA.
