DETROIT - Wayne State University women's hockey assistant coach Nicolette Franck has been selected to the 2008 Canadian Women's National Inline Hockey Team.

Franck, a former four-year goaltender at Yale University, will join Team Canada at the 2008 World Inline Hockey Championships, which will take place July 5-12 in Dusseldorf, Germany.

Canada's women's inline team appeared in every championship game from the inaugural year of 2002 until 2006, winning the gold three times. The team was unable to attend the championships in Spain in 2007 due to financial difficulties.
