Kissimmee, Fla. - The Wayne State University softball squad improved to 6-5 overall and snapped its two-game losing streak with a 3-0 whitewash of Tiffin Tuesday morning.
Junior Lindsey Perry (Taylor, Mich./Kennedy) drove in two runs, including one with a solo home run.
Perry and Sarah Teller (Chesterfield Twp., Mich./L'Anse Creuse North) had two hits apiece.
Starter Molly Yetman (Cambridge, Ont./Glenview Park. S.S.) and Sarah Ytsma (Chatham, Ont./McGregor S.S.) combined for the shutout. Yetman struck out nine in five innings while Ytsma fanned two and gave up one hit.
The Warriors play Wisconsin-Parkside at 1 pm today.
