Final Stats

Kissimmee, Fla. - The Wayne State University softball squad (11-9 overall) won its third consecutive game with a 2-0 triumph over Dominican (0-4 overall) Saturday afternoon.

Nicole Abel went the distance recording 10 strikeouts and only two walks in earning the shutout.

WSU scored once in the third and added another run in the fourth.

In the bottom of the third, Jaci Banton reached on an error and moved to second on a sacrifice bunt by Lisa Seymour. After an out, Amanda Van't Wout's single scored Banton.

WSU's second run was also unearned as Meredith Boxberger reached on an error to start the fourth. Robyn Haig's sacrifice bunt moved Boxberger to second. Sarah Teller's double to center plated Boxberger.

Wayne State's lone two hits were run producers.
