Wayne State University senior pitcher Molly Yetman (Cambridge, Ont.) was named NFCA (National Fastpitch Coaches Association) National Division II Player of the Week for the week ending March 9.

Yetman pitched two complete-game shutouts last week. In a 4-0 win over Shippensburg, Yetman struck out 14 and allowed just three walks with no hits for the seven-inning victory. It was the fourth no-hitter of Yetman's career.

She followed that with another shutout performance the next day against Southern Indiana, pitching the Warriors to a 1-0 victory over Southern Indiana. In that game, Yetman allowed two hits while walking three and striking out 10. USI had defeated Wayne State twice previously this year, including the previous weekend at the SIUE Cougar Classic.
