Wayne State University junior outfielder Becky Quinn (Ortonville, Mich./Oakland Christian) has been selected Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Player of the Week after batting .600 last week as the Warriors went 5-1.
In last Wednesday's sweep of Ferris State, she went two-for-four with a double, a home run, two walks (one with the bases loaded in the second game that forced extra innings), two sacrifice hits, a run scored and two RBI.
This past Saturday, Quinn went 6-for-7 with two home runs in a split against nationally-ranked Gannon. Her two home runs in the nightcap, marked the first time since Feb. 28, 2004, that a Warrior hit two four-baggers in the same game.
In WSU's sweep of Mercyhurst on Sunday, she went one-for-four with two runs scored, three RBI, a walk and two hit by pitches.

Quinn is currently ninth in the GLIAC in batting (.363) and total bases (55), fifth in runs scored (21), sixth in runs batted in (20) and slugging percentage (.604), tied-for-fifth in walks (13), fourth in on-base percentage (.454) and second in sacrifice bunts (12).
Wayne State is in the midst of a 14-game home stand. WSU hosts six league games this week with doubleheaders against Lake Superior (Thursday), Northwood (Friday) and Saginaw Valley (Saturday).
