Sunday's Softball Doubleheader Moved Up One Hour

Wayne State University's softball doubleheader against the University of Missouri-St. Louis will start at noon on Sunday, an hour earlier than the previously released 1 p.m.

The Warriors begin a stretch of 20 games (10 doubleheaders) in 14 days beginning tomorrow at Hillsdale. The only other road twinbill is at Lake Superior on April 23. The other 16 games will be played at the WSU Softball Field.

Junior first baseman Lindsey Perry (Taylor, Mich./Kennedy) is currently 11th in the GLIAC in batting at .375, while junior Sarah Berry (Acton, Ont.) is 18th. Perry is fourth in slugging percentage (.625) and total bases (65), eighth in hits (39), tied-for-second in doubles (11), and tied-for-third in triples (3). Sarah Kish (St. Catharines, Ont.) leads the conference in sac bunts with 10.

Junior pitcher Molly Yetman (Cambridge, Ont.) leads the league in ERA (0.50) and opposing batting average (.125), while ranking second in strikeouts (142) and tied-for-second in wins (11).
