The Wayne State University softball squad was placed fourth in the Great Lakes Region in this week's NCAA Division II Softball Committee rankings. The top eight teams, including automatic qualifiers, will compete in the NCAA Great Lakes Regional tournament May 10-12.
The Warriors entered the week with a 22-11 overall mark (prior to yesterday's split at Hillsdale), and a 14-7 in-region record.
