Wayne State University senior catcher Sarah Berry (Acton, Ont.) and senior pitcher Molly Yetman (Cambridge, Ont.) were voted to the NFCA (National Fastpitch Coaches Association) All-Great Lakes Region First Team.
Berry was voted to the NFCA All-Great Lakes Region First Team for the second straight year. She was also an All-GLIAC First Team selection for the third straight season.
She had a nine-game hitting streak in the post-season (GLIAC and NCAA tournament) and drove in six runs including all three in WSU's final game of the season. She also had the game-winning RBI in the bottom of the 10th in Friday's win over SIUE.

Yetman went 6-0 in the post-season pitching 47 innings and compiling a 0.89 ERA. She recorded her second win over SIUE this year with last Friday's win in the NCAA tournament. She also beat Lock Haven's Kristin Erb earlier in the year.

She allowed 103 hits, 39 runs, 23 earned runs, 65 walks and held opponent batters to a .147 average in 699 at bats. Yetman also recorded 265 strikeouts and became a First Team NFCA All-Great Lakes Region selection for the second straight year. She was voted the GLIAC Pitcher of the Year in 2008.
Molly was selected NFCA National Player of the Week on March 12 and twice earned GLIAC Pitcher of the Week honors in 2008. She came within an error of a perfect game vs. Ashland.
