Two incoming softball recruits that signed with Wayne State last November have been invited to attend Softball Canada's 2006 Junior Women's National team selection camp slated for August 13-16 in Brampton, Ontario. Click here for Softball Canada release.

Nicole Abel (pictured left) and Stephanie LeClair, both of Kitchener, Ontario, will participate in the camp that will be used to determine the squad for the Pan Am Championships in Puerto Rico from November 8-18, a qualifier for the 2007 ISF World Championships.

Two regional evaluation camps were held in Port Perry, Ontario, and Richmond, British Columbia, prior to the selection of the final 27 softball players for the national team selection camp.

Softball Canada is the National Sport Governing Body for the development and regulation of softball in Canada. Its broad objectives are to promote, encourage and develop mass participation and international excellence in softball.
